Bryan Johnson offers some insight into his life.
You ask the questions, he answers them...

1 : How did you get your start in racing?

Racing has been in my blood since the day I was brought into this world. My grandfather, Marty Himes... You could say is to blame, or give the credit to. He is the greatest guy, knows more then anything. He is the start of "racing" in my life. But without the blood, sweat, and tears of my late father... Racing would have been never possible. He got me going in 1999, and from that point I haven't stopped being involved.

2 : What would you be doing if you couldn't be racing?

Well when I am not racing, I am working at P.C. Richard & Son in their Advertising Department, doing my own gig with Extreme Design & Graphic Enterprises. So you could say my life is filled with Graphic Design & Race Cars.

3 : What do you usually do in the off season?

Well the off season to me is a time to spend with family, but really have to prepare for the up and coming season. But you have to take it all step by step.

4 : What is your favorite track and why?

My favorite track from the Go-Karting days would have to be the Thunder Road Speedbowl. But seconding that would have to be the great Riverhead Raceway and Westhampton Speedway. I have had my share of fun at all three tracks, but Thunder Road has to be by far the fastest, and scariest track around.

5 : Who is your major influence in the racing world?

My major influence in the racing world would have to be two people. Once again... My grandfather, Marty Himes and My father, Scott A. Johnson. These two people are the greatest. I got my knowledge of racing from poppy, but the skill and experience from my father. We sorely miss him, so we will run into the future in his memory. Rest In Peace Dad!

6 : What is your weekly day job, and what do you do?

I work for P.C. Richard & Son in their Advertising Art Department located in Farmingdale, Long Island, NY. Probably has to be one of the greatest jobs. I work with some of the best graphic artists around, and we just have a blast doing what we do. Oh yes, We do the ADs that everyone finds in the local newspapers such as Newsday and Daily News. Plus we do all the in store signage and posters that hang in all of the 50 showrooms. Other then that... We do nothing.

7 : What is your all time favorite racing experience?

My favorite racing experience was running the WKA Northeast Speedway Pavement series for the years that I did. Then taking the Flagman position over on the exact series I ran. It was a great experience of mine.

8 : On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the best, how would you rate yourself as a driver?

I wouldn't rate myself. Wouldn't be fair to the other drivers!

9 : How many speeding tickets have you received, and how fast were you going?

Speeding Tickets? None. Pulled over? Yes. For "tailgating". Officer, no no not an officer but a Sheriff. Supposedly said I was tailgating a Corvette within 6" of the bumper, in traffic doing 35 mph in the rain. Well that just didn't make any sense. So of course I got off...

10 : If you could change one thing in the racing world, what would it be?

The one thing that has been always getting out of control in the racing community is the expenses that go into racing and maintaining these racing machines. So I would change that. This is why we are going to run the INEX Legends Car division in 2008; to keep expenses down!
